Field Notes on Love by Jennifer E. Smith has so much adventure and emotion in each chapter, and I absolutely loved the writing style. The settings of the book are described so vividly it makes the story even more wonderful. I felt like I was there as the story unfolded. I enjoyed Hugo’s family and his British accent, and that the families, both Mae’s and Hugo’s, stick together. I strongly recommend this book for anyone looking for a good novel. ~ Maclane, 12, Carolina Day School, First Reads Reviewer.
